Fish ladder made of precast concrete elements
Construction of a fish passage on the Spree River.

In addition to its standard products, B+F Beton- und Fertigteilgesellschaft Lauchhammer mbH also manufactures numerous custom-made products according to customer requirements. In 2013, a fish staircase was manufactured and installed in Neuhausen/Spree, near Cottbus. It consists of several precast concrete elements that were assembled on site.
A fish staircase is an artificial structure that enables fish to overcome obstacles such as barrages or weirs in rivers and migrate upstream or downstream. This is made possible by the winding, small-scale design of the concrete elements.
