New construction of a maintenance hall for freight wagons
New construction of a maintenance hall for freight wagons with various precast concrete elements.
Within a year, a new maintenance hall for cargo trains operated by VTG Maintenance Assets GmbH was built in Großräschen in 2023. The construction of the cargo train center incorporated various prefabricated concrete solutions from BFL, including rail work pits, collection systems and track support slabs. The maintenance hall offers enough space to service several rail vehicles at the same time. There are also several tracks on the outdoor grounds.
The built-in track work pits manufactured by BFL, enable maintenance, repairs as well as inspections of rail vehicles to be carried out safely and efficiently from below. Collection trays covered with grates collect fuels or chemicals, preventing ground contamination.
Combining and connecting the various BFL precast concrete elements creates a continuous and safe working surface. Additionally, these concrete elements are characterized by a very long service life.
